According to , 32% of litter found in storm drains are tobacco products. Not only do these pollutants poison water, but they also contain plastic-- are not biodegradable! Do your part by spreading the word and discarding your cigarette butts in the proper receptacles.

3 Carolinians Elected to National Recycling Coalition Board 

NRC Elections Held During Resource Recycling Conference 

 

The National Recycling Coalition held its board of directors' election at the Resource Recycling Conference in October, leading to the election of nine members.  Three of the nine new board members are CRA Members!  CRA's Mary McClellan, SC Department of Commerce's Chantal Fryer, and More Recycling's Nina Butler will all represent the Carolina's on the NRC's 25 member board.  Our sincere thanks go out to those who voted!

The Coastal Environmental Partnership’s Household Hazardous Waste Recycling events will be held in Pamlico and Craven today, November 3rd.  Pamlico High School at 601 Main Street in Bayboro is the site for the Pamlico event.  The hours there are 9:00 am to 12:00 noon.  Craven Community College, 800 College Court, in New Bern is the site for the Craven event.  Signs will direct you to parking lot E, near Orringer Auditorium.  The hours there are 8:00 am to 1:00 pm.  For more information contact Bobbi Waters at 252-633-1564 or bobbi@crswma.com
